Today marks a significant date in the branch network as we transition to a new organisational structure which will make sure we’re fit for the future and ready for the challenges and opportunities we’ll face together, as the expectations of our members continue to evolve. The branch network is at the centre of building legendary service. We are the human touch for our members in a digitally enabled world. We’re the faces of Nationwide, a place where our brand and the values we stand for are brought to life in a heartfelt, easy, lifelong and personal way. We are the ones who are most able to deepen and broaden members’ relationship with us so the value of membership grows too. Garry Samson

I joined Nationwide Trust, the then personal lending subsidiary of Nationwide, in May 1990 as a Management Trainee from the Bank of Scotland where I had been a CR since leaving school. I moved to Portsmouth for my first managers job before eventually progressing into managing branches remotely in 2000 and I have been an Area Director since 2010. The two things I love the most about my job is how we make a difference to our members and helping people to be the best they can be, at a stage of their life that is right for them. I am excited about what my amazing people across The North can achieve.
